Triplium Terms & Conditions
Version: 1.0.0 Effective date: 2026-07-07 Last updated: 2026-07-07
1. Who we are
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a contract between you and CodeAppGo Oy, a company registered in Finland (Business ID 3200602-8) — "Triplium", "we", "us". They govern your use of the Triplium mobile and web apps, the website at triplium.com, and related services (together, the "Service").
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and is part of these Terms. If you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store's own terms also apply to the purchase.
2. Using Triplium: age and agreement
You must be at least 16 years old to use Triplium. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you also need a parent's or guardian's consent.
You agree to these Terms by signing in or by using the Service. Using Triplium also includes the anonymous analytics and crash reporting described in the Privacy Policy — it's how we find out what's broken and what's worth improving.
3. Your account
You sign in with a one-time email code or with your Google account — Triplium has no passwords. That means your email inbox and Google account are the keys to your journal: keep them secure, and tell us at info@triplium.com if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under it.
You can delete your account at any time in the app's settings. What deletion means for your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Your content
Everything you put into Triplium — trips, words, photos, videos, voice recordings, locations, and what you create with the AI — is yours ("your content"). You keep all rights to it.
So that the app can work, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, back up, sync, display and process your content — solely to operate the Service. That includes sending relevant content to our AI providers (section 8) and producing the things you ask for: transcripts, summaries, map placements, trip videos and backup exports. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies you've already shared or exported.
We will not:
- use your content to train any AI model — ours or anyone else's;
- sell your content;
- sublicense it for anyone's marketing;
- publish it anywhere except through sharing you've explicitly done yourself;
- show ads in the Service.
In return, you promise that your content is yours to upload and share, that it doesn't break the law (copyright, privacy, defamation), and that where photos show identifiable people, you have whatever consent or other basis the situation requires — especially for children. If you believe content on Triplium infringes your rights, email info@triplium.com; we'll assess it in good faith and may remove or restrict content while we investigate.
Feedback. Ideas, bug reports and suggestions you send us are welcome, and we may use them freely to improve Triplium — without owing you anything beyond our gratitude.
5. Our licence to you
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the Triplium apps for your own journaling. The apps themselves, the Triplium name and logo, the design and the code are ours (or our licensors'). Don't copy, resell or redistribute the Service, and don't reverse-engineer the apps except to the extent the law expressly permits it.
6. Acceptable use
Keep it legal and decent. When using Triplium, you may not:
- upload or share content that is illegal, abusive, harassing or defamatory, that sexualises minors, or that promotes violence or self-harm;
- violate anyone's privacy or intellectual-property rights;
- scrape the Service, hammer it with automated load, or circumvent its access controls;
- use it to spam anyone;
- probe its security outside the responsible-disclosure rules in section 10;
- misrepresent who you are;
- use the AI features to generate content that breaks the rules above or our AI providers' usage policies.
We may suspend or terminate accounts for material or repeated violations (section 11).
7. Subscriptions and purchases
Triplium is a paid product with a simple deal: an active subscription (or a lifetime purchase) lets you capture and edit; without one, your journal stays fully readable and exportable — you just can't add to it. Current plans, prices and any free-trial terms are shown in the app.
Plans. We offer auto-renewing subscriptions (monthly, yearly) and a one-time lifetime plan. "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the Triplium Service, not yours — see section 14 for the promise that comes with that.
Billing. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are billed by Apple or Google under their terms. Purchases made directly on our website are billed by our payment processor (Stripe), which emails your receipts.
Auto-renewal and cancelling. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current price, until you cancel. Cancel anytime: store purchases in the store's subscription settings, direct purchases via Manage subscription in the app. A free trial converts into a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep premium access until the end of the period you've paid for.
Price changes. If the price of your subscription changes, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it affects you, and you can cancel before the renewal.
Refunds. For App Store and Google Play purchases, refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their policies — we can't issue them on their behalf. For direct purchases: within 14 days of your first purchase you can have a full refund, no questions asked, in line with EU consumer law. Within 14 days of a renewal we refund at our discretion, typically pro-rated for unused time. Beyond that, refunds only where the law requires. Requests: info@triplium.com.
If a payment fails, the payment provider retries it. If it can't be collected, your subscription ends and your account moves to read-only — your journal stays intact, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Taxes. Prices may include or exclude VAT and similar taxes depending on your country.
8. AI in Triplium
AI is at the heart of Triplium — chat, transcription, photo understanding, suggestions and summaries. To provide it, relevant content (your messages, and the photos, videos and voice recordings you add) is processed by our AI providers, as the Privacy Policy describes. We use paid, business-grade AI services; neither we nor they use your content to train AI models.
Two things to keep in mind:
- AI can be wrong. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete or biased. Don't rely on them for travel safety, medical, legal or financial decisions without checking an authoritative source.
- Interactive cards are chat. When the assistant shows you a card — a date picker, a list of places — what you pick in it is part of the conversation and is processed like a message.
9. Sharing
When you share a trip with another Triplium user or through a public link, you confirm you have the right to share that content — especially photos of other people — and you understand that recipients can screenshot, save or otherwise keep what you show them.
You can revoke a share at any time, which blocks all new access. Content already viewed may stay cached on a recipient's device for a while, and anything already downloaded is a copy beyond our reach — the same honest caveat as in the Privacy Policy.
If someone shares their journal with you, it's theirs: don't redistribute it outside Triplium without their permission.
10. Security and responsible disclosure
Found a vulnerability? Email info@triplium.com — we'll respond promptly, investigate, and coordinate disclosure timing with you. We won't pursue legal action against good-faith research that doesn't harm other users' data or privacy, doesn't degrade the Service for others, and gives us reasonable time (typically 90 days) to fix the issue before going public.
11. Termination
You can stop using Triplium or delete your account whenever you like; cancelling a subscription is covered in section 7. Not paying is not "termination" — it simply moves your account to read-only.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms, if the law requires it, or if keeping your access open would create a risk of significant harm. For serious cases — illegal content, abuse, security threats — we may act without notice; otherwise we'll warn you first and give you a reasonable chance to export your content.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination do — in particular your content promises (section 4), disclaimers (12), liability (13) and governing law (15).
12. Disclaimers
We work hard to make Triplium excellent, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". We can't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or immune to every threat, that AI outputs will be accurate, or that the third-party services we build on will always behave.
Your journal is precious, so a word on data safety: Triplium syncs your content between your devices and our servers, and you can export a full backup at any time — please do, for anything irreplaceable.
None of this limits warranties that can't be excluded under mandatory law, in particular Finnish and EU consumer law.
13. Liability
To the maximum extent the law allows:
- our total aggregate liability under these Terms is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim — or €100 if you haven't paid us anything;
- we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profit or goodwill.
These limits do not apply where the law says they can't: liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, liability for fraud, or anything else that mandatory consumer law (in particular the Finnish Consumer Protection Act) doesn't allow us to limit.
14. Changes — to Triplium and to these Terms
The Service. Triplium will keep evolving: features will improve, change, and occasionally be retired. If we discontinue something material you've paid for — or the Service entirely — we'll give you notice, time to export your journal, and (for subscriptions) the chance to cancel. Lifetime plans run for the lifetime of the Service under this same promise.
These Terms. Each new version is posted at triplium.com/terms with an updated date, and prior versions stay available for reference. For material changes we'll email you and show a notice in the app at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Using Triplium after that date means you accept the updated Terms; if you don't, cancel your subscription and delete your account before the effective date.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, and disputes belong to the Finnish courts — with one important exception: if you're an EU consumer, you always keep the right to bring proceedings in your home country's courts and to rely on your home country's mandatory consumer protections.
Consumer disputes in Finland can also be taken to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariitalautakunta, kuluttajariita.fi).
16. The small print
Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. Severability. If a provision turns out invalid, the rest stand, and the invalid one is adjusted as little as necessary to make it enforceable. No waiver. If we don't enforce something today, we can still enforce it tomorrow. Assignment. You can't transfer these Terms to someone else; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business, with at least 30 days' notice to you. Force majeure. Neither of us is liable for what's genuinely beyond our control. Notices. We reach you at your account email or in the app; you reach us at info@triplium.com. Language. English is the authoritative version of these Terms; translations are provided for convenience.
